This is my place in time.
To be honest, I don’t usually have an awful lot to photograph at 11:11pm. I’m usually in bed, on the couch watching tv (and by that I mean trawling instagram while I miss my show), or chatting with friends in other timezones.
In May 2016 we took a trip interstate to Sydney. It was a restless night, so we decided to go for a drive and walk to play with my newish camera (Nikon D7200) as it is significantly better at handling low light scenes than my old one (Nikon D90). We strolled around on both sides of the city, spending time at both Luna Park, and later along the Opera House forecourt. There’s something quite special about being out around the Sydney Opera House at nearly 1am on a weekday when only a handful of people are around.
These pictures are from Luna Park at Milson’s Point, sometime between 11pm and midnight.
These photos were taken as part of the “My place in time” project. See the list here.
